This unit is ideal for the home or small business owner wanting to set up a digital surveillance system with network and remote access. It can record up to 25 image frames per second per camera (based on using all 4 cameras) and features MPEG4 video compression technology. This enables high quality image recording with reduced file sizes, maximising the amount of footage that can be recorded on the hard drive. The multiplex operation adds to the systems functionality allowing live display, record, playback and network operation at the same time. The unit is easy to operate, and the simple on screen display menu allows the user to search recorded footage and alter settings as required. If connected to a Windows PC network, footage can be viewed over the network using the included software. If the network has a high speed internet connection, footage can also be viewed remotely over the internet. The software also enables footage to be backed up / archived from the DVR to a PC allowing storage on another HDD or burning to a DVD or CD.
